Ms Rabbatts is also governor of the London School of Economics and the BBC.

David Sulkin, a freelance opera and theatre director and arts education specialist, has been appointed head of policy and operations at the National Foundation of Youth Music. Mr Sulkin was the co-founder of the Baylis programme at the English National Opera.
