What are pupils entitled to know about teachers’ private lives? Precisely what the teachers choose to tell them (“Expose at your own risk”, 14 June). Some things are best kept secret. It is inevitable that they’ll find things out by chance, but that’s another matter.
This cuts both ways. Teachers have no right to pry into pupils’ private lives. I remember being irritated as a kid with teachers who wanted me to write more “news”. How was what I did at weekends any of their business?
