Why worry?

Why do you think “Britons worry most about education”? (TES, March 21).

If you had a 15-year-old leaving school in five weeks with a reasoning ability of a 17-year-old, a reading age of nine and a spelling age of eight, you would be worried too. I’m mad that the education system has let her down. We’ve had years of frustration, tears, stress, battles. The Government should have Operation Education Rescue so that other children do not slip through the net and come out with at least being able to read and spell. This is for life. Worried is an understatement.
