Chickweed, Willow and other Wild Glaswegians is a new guidebook to the wild plants of Scotland.
Written by Louise Bustard, assistant curator at the Botanic Gardens in Glasgow, the spiral bound paperback has been sent free to schools in the Glasgow area.
Ms Bustard, who worked at Kew Gardens before moving to Glasgow 10 years ago, said the book is not an identification guide. It focuses on the relationship between Scots and the plants, such as the chickweed, above, that grow around us, and what they were used for.
