Electrical installation is the most in-demand vocational qualification, according to City amp; Guilds’ survey of its most popular subjects. Social care and hairdressing took second and third spots, with overall numbers taking City amp; Guilds qualifications rising by 11 per cent. Chris Jones, its chief executive, said: “Growing numbers of people are recognising the value of work-related learning and equipping themselves with the right skills and training they need to succeed and lead in today’s fast-paced economy.”
