While I am willing to reserve judgment on the new Education Secretary, Michael Gove, his interview on the BBC last Sunday with Andrew Marr did raise some concerns.
He referred to “businessmen” and “headmasters in the state school system”, indicating that the Tories’ proposed policies had their support. If the minister wants to continue this perceived trend, he might do well to adopt more inclusive language.
