The Times BFI London Film Festival is always an educational feast for teachers and pupils. This year’s event runs from October 21 to November 6.
There are free screenings of two dozen films, including David Lean’s classic Summer Madness (Summertime) and a recent Japanese animated adventure starring a talking princely cat. Workshops include opportunities to make your own animations or test your skills as a script writer.
Seminars with professionals explore possible career paths - starting in production, composing for TV programmes or editing videos - in realistic but enlivening sessions. Tel: 020 7815 14341393 www.lff.org.uk
