During my visit to the Education Show, I would be delighted to find that a very valuable resource had been brought down to an affordable price for schools and families.Speech recognition software already exists, of course, and has proved to be beneficial to a wide range of children with special educational needs, from dyslexia and dyspraxia, through to physical disabilities. But the software is still too epensive. Schools cannot afford it, or if they can, there will be only one copy. Ideally, children should be able to use it at home, too, to gain the most benefit from it. But if that particular wish weren’t possible, I’d like to see a virtual product that creates 29 hours in the day!
