Computers were stolen from the Emmbrook School in Wokingham during a burglary over the summer holiday.

Police were alerted by a security firm that monitors the building and neighbours who heard the school’s alarm system going off.

PC Heidi Walsh, of Loddon Valley police station, said: “We attended the school and found signs of a break-in. Computer equipment was stolen. I believe the school’s equipment has been marked with SmartWater, so if the property is recovered it will easily be identified and returned to its rightful owner.

“The neighbours alerted us to the alarm, so it is possible that others may have also heard it and might have seen something which could help us. I would like to speak to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area at the time of the burglary.”

The offence took place in the early hours of Wednesday, August 26. Anyone with information about the incident should contact PC Walsh at Loddon Valley police station on 08458 505 505. HW.
