Workload deal has not helped

I would just like to correct part of your article on the role of teaching examinations officers and our recent questionnaire results (TES, February 13)).

The article stated that the workload agreement has had a positive effect on working conditions for teaching examinations officers. However, not one questionnaire stated that the workload agreement was the reason for improved conditions.

The main reasons for improvement were administrative support being given, extra time being made available, improvements in officeIT facilities and being more experienced in the role.

In fact the workload agreement does very little for the role of these officers - teaching or otherwise.
