World Cup maths

A team in the World Cup might score one, two, three or more goals in a single game. What are the chances (also known as "probability" or "odds") of any team scoring a particular number of goals (say, two)? We've made a few guesses in the "Estimated odds" column below.

Check these out after all the group games are over on June 14 to see what the real odds were. The 32 teams will have played three games each, giving a total of 96.Record the number of times each score actually occurred out of the possible 96, then work out the real odds.
