IAN Whitwham and I seem to be living in two different worlds: I in the real one and he in the capsule created by the burden of the enormous chip he carries on his shoulders (TES, Opinion, June 9).
In two decades of dealing with Oxford nd Cambridge candidates from a state school in Handsworth, I have never seen a “withering rejection”; I would be genuinely grateful to be sent a photocopy of one.
