I WAS intrigued (TES, July 30) that Speakers International Franklin Covey are recruiting pupils for a new school built on the premise that “we become 1,000 per cent better by doing 1,000 things 1 per cent better.”
By my reckoning, if those 1,000 things were all that one did, the net improvement would still be 1 per cent, while if there happened to be another 1,000 things that did not change, then the improvement would be only 0.5 per cent.
