I was featured in the article “Stick with the programme” in the Continuing Professional Development feature (September 24). The caption under the picture states, “second year probationer Sharon McManus hard at work in the maths department of All Saints Secondary in Glasgow.”
This is not the case and I did stress this to the person who phoned regarding the picture. I was a second year probationer hard at work in Trinity High, Renfrew, pictured with pupils, not in All Saints. I am now, however, a member of staff in All Saints Secondary, Glasgow, and am no longer a probationer, but in my third year of teaching.
I feel that these inaccuracies may offend the headteachers and the pupils pictured from Trinity, as well as confuse colleagues and friends.
