The X Factor Dance Company has been working with schools and colleges in the central belt on dances to accompany its tour of Smoke by guest choreographer Colin Poole and The After Hours by artistic director Alan Greig.

Thirty 12- to 17-year-olds from East and West Lothian schools took part in six workshops with X Factor dancers, culminating in a short public performance preceding the main programmes at Livingston’s Howden Park Centre and Musselburgh’s Brunton Theatre.

The company has also been working with dance and drama students at Anniesland College, Reid Kerr College, the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, Edinburgh’s Telford College, Queen Margaret College and Dundee College.
