Thank you for the uplifting article on the excellent work of teachers at Yardley school, in Waltham Forest, north-east London (TES Teacher, September 26). I do not know if the word “imagination” features in the national curriculum but it should.
Clearly the children at this thought-provoking school are being encouraged to develop the ability to think from an early age which surely must provide a stimulating basis for learning.
It is so encouraging that there are schools with dedicated teachers who are doing such good work. They deserve our gratitude.
