Students at Hampton school in Middlesex have built a robotically controlled webcam that constantly sends images to the school’s website. Anyone visiting the site can move the robot to see what students and teachers are doing in the classroom or on the sports field. Meanwhile, at Ashcroft High School in Luton, the teachers are the watchers. When students log on to any PC in the school’s computer suites they get a simultaneous link to the teacher, allowing the teacher to work with the class while monitoring individual student progress.
