You cannot run from the truth about sport

Boris Johnson believes that to build on our Olympic success, all children should engage in compulsory sport for two hours a day. The answer, in fact, is to allow children with an aptitude for sport to spend as much time as possible doing what they love, while those with no sporting interest or aptitude learn dance, yoga or even gardening. Education organised along these lines would be a more rewarding experience, with positive knock-on effects for society, the world of work - and Olympic success.
