(Photograph) - YEAR 6 pupils at Reepham primary near Norwich have recorded the school’s highest ever English and maths results, writes Helen Ward.

Their Sats scores are mirrored across the country, a TES survey suggests.

Schools contacted by the paper have an average of 82 per cent of pupils getting the expected level 4 in English and 78 per cent getting it in maths.

But there was anger over the writing test The Queue which heads said was too boring for brighter pupils.

If schools across the country have done as well as those surveyed, the Government will finally hit last year’s target of 80 per cent of 11-year-olds reaching level 4 in English and 75 per cent reaching it in maths.. Photograph by JANE HARPER
