New powers for teachers to search pupils and delete photos from their phones may contravene human rights laws? (“Gove warned extended search powers infringe human rights,” 17 June.) Good! Perhaps we can now get rid of all this rubbish. The whole idea of so-called “human rights” is derivative and secondary.
