THE new edition of The Good Schools Guide has landed with a thud. Among the many irreverent gems in its 900 pages are details on the school picked by the Prime Minister and his wife for their elder sons, The London Oratory.

It operates “the 3H rule - hair, homework and hard work” and is so strict that pupils “daren’t even visit the local McDonald’s, let alone smoke within a mile of the school”. www.goodschoolsguide.co.uk
