The fifth annual Glasgow Youth Games has attracted more than 3,000 local children to the Kelvin Hall and Scotstoun Leisure Centre this week to compete at primary and secondary school level in team and individual sports. Organised by Sport or Youth and Glasgow City Council, the games are part of a programme to build links between schools and sports clubs, develop opportunities with specialist coaches and enable students to experience a large-scale sporting event.
