London Zoo is inviting children in age groups eight to 11, 12 to 14 and 15 to 18 to submit a drawing of an endangered animal by November 30. In December, eight regional finalists in each age group will have their entries displayed in the zoo’s elephant house and be asked to involve their schoolclass in designing an enclosure for an endangered animal of their choice.
In the spring the winning teams will help the zoo realise their designs and will win a group adoption, worth up to Pounds 6,000, of their chosen animal. Details: Wes Donohue, London Zoo, Regent’s Park, NW1 4RY, tel: 071-586 6177.
