Hook- Balanced Argument Group Debate Activity This resource includes ‘Hook- Balanced Argument Group Debate Activity.’ I have created this resource which includes 24 debate prompting cards and am using this as part of the Year 6 Primary English curriculum for the topic balanced arguments. This resource includes all 104 statutory spellings for Year 5 and 6. The PowerPoint format is editable, you can choose which word/ synonym/ definition and sentence to cover up and let the children search for. I have also attached the PDF format. Each slide has four statutory spellings, with their definition, synonyms, image and a sentence including the word. I use this as an English starter activity where children can use a dictionary/ thesaurus to find the missing parts.
