Photography Competition: Beyond The Frame Winners Revealed

The student winners of a national photography competition have been revealed.

Norwich University of the Arts' Beyond the Frame competition gives 11- to 15-year olds and 16- to 19-year-olds the chance to win £1,000 worth of camera equipment, and this year it was supported by Tes

James Smith, photography course leader at the university and chair of the judging panel, said: "There was a phenomenal response to this year's competition. All of the judges agree it was an incredibly hard task to select the shortlist this year as the standard was so high."

The winners

Overall under-16 winner: Emily Parsons, 15, Kings Ely.

Overall over-16 winner: Oleg Pantiukhov, 18, CATS Cambridge College.

Chair of judges James Smith said: "Choosing the winning entries was extremely difficult in both age categories. In the over-16 category, Oleg's pictures stood out to the judges from the very start. The use of colour and tone with warm light separating the model from the colder background has produced a cinematic image."
