Headteacher Jeremy Stowe-Lindner’s perceptive article on parents setting up a school was written by someone who has actually been involved in the mechanics of such a venture (“The DIY route will be too tough for most”, February 19).

So presumably it has not been read by Schools Secretary Ed Balls or his Tory shadow Michael Gove and their armies of “thinkers” who are promulgating such ideas in this febrile pre-election period ...
