In the week the Chartered College of Teaching’s chief executive Dame Alison Peacock slammed Ofsted for imposing “a reign of terror”, and more councils in England ordered secondary school students to wear masks, teachers were either enjoying their half-term break or were looking forward to a week away from the classroom.
