EVERY child under the age of seven in Scotland is to be given a free snakes and ladders-style board game warning them of the dangers of drugs, it was announced this week. Scotland Against Drugs (SAD), a Government-funded agency, said the game, devised by a headteacher, would be given to parents by schools. I also plans to produce 750,000 information packs containing specialised information on drugs for every child over seven. The initiatives, which will be developed over the next 14 months, follow an announcement this week of pound;4.5 million for SAD over the next three years from the Scottish Executive.
