Higher Still should be further postponed because of “serious deficiencies” in the programme, the Scottish Secondary Teachers’ Association said this week after a TES Scotland conference (pages 4 and 5).
David Eaglesham, general secretary, said reports across Scotland showed that a number of aspects would not be ready in time. Members were particularly concerned about the inadequate number of examples in the national assessment item bank and the availability of support materials for new courses.
