Having just been through the interview process for the graduate teacher programme without a psychometric test I think this new plan is wholly unnecessary.
We were instructed to make two presentations, write an essay paper and attend an interview. I think we can clearly see that the process is thorough, and stressful, enough.
Why can’t we just trust the academics who teach the courses year after year to find the right people? They’ve managed so far!
