Does Republic really think that teachers won’t engage pupils in a balanced discussion about the Diamond Jubilee (“Diamond Jubilee jubilation could land schools in court”, 3 February)? My Year 9 tutor group have their own opinions on everything - just try and stop them presenting opposing points of view. As if all we want is to get our pupils waving flags without even thinking.
