CAROL COMPETITION.

The Amici Singers, a women's choir based in Bedfordshire, are inviting schools to write a carol for them by September 25. Modest cash prizes are on offer, and the winning three carols in each age group(primary and secondary) will be performed in a Christmasconcert at Sandy Baptist Church, Bedfordshire, on December 4 at 7.30pm. YOUNG CARERS AWARD.

The Multiple Sclerosis Society is setting up a support network and awards programme for children caring for relatives with the condition thanks to a pound;25,000 grant from the Prudential Carers Awareness Fund. PRIVATE AND EXECUTIVE SECRETARY'S DIPLOMA.

Sara Porter, a part-time student at Bedford College, has been awarded a gold medallion for the management appreciation module. Sara came top in the country and second in the world.
