* Sir Peter Newsam's article, "Going backwards", (TES, October 7) says it all (criticising Labour's move away from comprehensives). The Bill following this week's White Paper (which one??) is a chance for the many backbench MPs who support comprehensives to make a real impact. It may be the last chance.
