No wonder Mrs Denton finds coursework so time-consuming (Take another look at coursework, TES, July 20) if she spends time marking and remarking draft coursework assignments.

I am amazed not because of the time it takes, but the fact that the practice is dubious. Surely this is taking teacher help too far and if nothing else highlights another problem with GCSE coursework: the lack of clear guidelines as to what is acceptable assistance.
