Who Cares? video

23rd February 2001 at 00:00
More than 50,000 people under 18, some as young as four, are caring for sick or disabled members of their families. A video Who Cares? is a graphic and moving introduction to some of their problems. We meet children who miss school and homework, whose friendships are restricted, who have to deal with medical crises, intimate hygiene and household chores. Accompanying notes offer effective ways of using he film in PSHE lessons and for staff training. The latter part of the film suggests how schools might develop action plans to support their bravest but often least recognised pupils.
