Just when you thought flossing was finally packed away in the cupboard of classroom crazes (joining bottle flipping, Fortnite and Tamagotchis), the dance is sweeping through the corridors, playgrounds and classrooms once more.

Except this time, teachers aren’t groaning and demanding children stop, sit down and get on with their work. This time, teachers, pupils and parents are coming together to floss (or, at least attempt to floss) for funding.

The day of dancing has been organised by Fair Funding for All schools and the parent-led group, Save Our Schools in a bid to raise awareness of the crippling cuts to school funding.

And it’s not just schools who are putting their best foot forward...

The move is just the latest protest from schools about school funding. In September, more than 2,000 head teachers marched (politely, professional and with grace) to Downing Street to raise their concerns.
