An 18-year-old pupil has become the third generation of his family to have a perfect school attendance record. Carwyn James has not missed a day of school in 13 years, recording 100 per cent attendance at Ysgol y Preseli in Pembrokeshire, where he is head boy, and before that at his primary school Ysgol Gynradd Crymych. His mother and late grandmother also never missed a day of school, according to Pembrokeshire Council.
