AN investigation into allegations of child abuse against a former chaplain at the London Oratory school has been closed after council officials found no evidence to support the anonymous claims. The inquiry into Father David Martin, who died in 1998 of an AIDS-related illness, was triggered by letters to children’s chariy ChildLine. Andrew Christie, Hammersmith and Fulham Council’s assistant director for social services, said a full and detailed investigation produced no evidence. Father Martin was a chaplain and school governor from April 1997 to July 1998. The Oratory is attended by Tony Blair’s two sons, Euan and Nicholas.
