Anglia Multimedia will become a Granada Learning brand as expected, following Granada Media’s acquisition of Anglia Television last year. There will be some casualties, however: the online service Anglia Campus will be scaled down and reviewed, while Anglia Multimedia Professional Development will become part of the new London-based Granada Professional training division. About 50 to60 jobs will be lost, but Anglia Multimedia will continue production in Norwich. Meanwhile, the management of Logotron last month bought the firm from Pearson Education for an undisclosed sum. Under the leadership of Julian Pixton and Gerry Daish, it is said to be Europe’s largest privately owned educational software publisher.
