I was rather disappointed that the article “Nursery ban on male care ruled unfair” omitted the most salient point of our interview. The result was that a totally misleading picture was presented.
Our policy was not implemented for fear of losing business, but to protect male employees from potentially unfounded accusations of child abuse. We have all seen how devastating such a situation can be for innocent victims of misunderstanding or prejudice.
I hope your readers will reflect upon the commonsense of our policy which our lawyers advised us was legal.
