George Orwell feared that we would be observed for most of our lives. What he did not foresee was that people would willingly pay to use CCTV and webcams to observe them. Yet there are good curriculum uses, such as a satellite image that can tell you if there is snow over Edinburgh. This site suggests many other possibilities.
