* Bryngwyn school in Llanelli was closed yesterday as a result of a strike by members of the National Association of Schoolmasters Union of Women Teachers Cymru. The union’s secretary, Geraint Davies, said the school proposed to make three teachers redundant, despite having pound;200,000 in reserves and 10 volunteers for early retirement. The local education authority blamed falling rolls for the decision.
