If you’ve read about the Braingames revision sessions at Garibaldi college in Nottinghamshire (Teacher magazine, January 14) and want to give your pupils a mind-mapping taster (the Mind Maps method, devised by Tony Buzan, pictured, is one of the strategies used at Garibaldi), book them into Buzan’s free Magic of the Mind events at the Royal Albert Hall, London, at which he will talk children through project planning, creative thinking and revision skills. There are two mega sessions, each for 3,000 pupils at a time (morning for seven to 11-year-olds, afternoon for 11 to 15-year-olds) with free Mind Map resources and Collins Gem dictionaries for those who attend.
