PARENTS are prepared to pay more for a gardener or cleaner than for childcare.
The 21st Century Housekeeping report published by insurance firm Norwich Union, found that the 2.7 million households who employ homehelp pay an average of pound;3.64 an hour for
nannies and child-carers, compared to pound;4.85 for cleaners and pound;6.46 for gardeners. In total,
Britons now spend more than pound;9 billion a year on domestic help.
