Oxford University Press has produced another batch of The Magic Key picture story books (Nadim’s Machine, The Flying Circus, Biff of the Jungle, Fraser the Eraser, Code Calling, Zandoodle and the Wheezlebang, The Aneena Academy, pound;2.99 each) to accompany the BBC 2 Schools series.

This features Biff and Chip, Kipper and Floppy and all the other charactersfrom the original Magic Key stories of the Oxford Reading Tree, the most popular reading programme in the UK.

Although these latest books lack the precision and ironic sparkle of the original creatures of author Rod Hunt and illustrator Alex Brychta, they are more sensitive and lively than the first set of TV tie-in books published last year.
