Although Biotechology itself has existed for thousands of years, its current developments tend to be the subject of ill-informed headlines. Six posters from the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry bring photographs, diagrams and challenging text together. They deal clearly with three kinds of cloning, stem cell research, the human genome project, genetic engineering and the polymerase chain reaction. This site contains a wealth of animations, background explanations, quizzes and discussion of related ethical and social issues.
