HUNGARY: Thousands of teachers will be given computers for home use from January in an effort to make them more computer literate.

Under the government-funded scheme, more than 10,000 teachers will be provided with computers for three years, after which they will have the chance to buy them with depreciation taken into account. Teachers who take part in the scheme will have to pay for internet access and will have to agree to undertake special computer courses at home.
