The Government has spent pound;6.6 million in less than four years on market research to develop and evaluate publicity campaigns such as the promotion of science to teenagers. AnsweringTory MP John Bercow, minister Ivan Lewis said that the Government also used market research to get the views of parents, teachers and others affected by its policies. In line with strict rules no cash had been used for party-political purposes.
