The unequal relationships between rich and poor nations are dramatically explored in Third World Debt - Drop It, a lively and eloquent 20-minute video. It features scenes from a recent Young People’s Parliament in Birmingham, where teenagers had to discover how to spend a notional budget, large proportions of which are already earmarked for interest repayments. The website includes lesson plans suitable for key stages 3 and 4 and a “Debt Busters” game in which the World Bank rules players’ destiny.
