ICT co-ordinator Simon Widdowson set up Southwold’s site shortly after its first PC arrived in 1997. “I’d never used a PC before, never mind built a website.” Now he uses the site to offer advice to others on building pages.
He is also particularly proud of the school’s Gateway andom Internet Novel project. “I asked my class to build up a story of four children who visit strange and interesting places. The children began to create some wonderful work using a word processor, and I used Javascript to allow the next page of the story to be chosen at random. We created a story that was never the same twice.”
